About Us
The club has a membership of just over one hundred, 30 Ladies and 75 Gentlemen. It is not supported financially by the Hospital Authorities.
It is a self managing and self supporting section of the Runwell Hospital Staff Social Club, which has it’s headquarters complex containing a Bar with refreshment facilities, Function Room and Snooker Room, just a few yards from our Bowling Green.
As well as Lawn Bowls there are other activities associated with the site such as Archery, Cricket, Rugby and Football, fielding seven teams - Men's, Ladies and Saturday morning under 11 year olds.
The President
Tony Tomlinson, is one of the longest serving members in the club, he joined in 1980.
He gained his County Badge in 1986, served for nine years in the Green Maintenance Team and was elected president at the club’s AGM in October 1999.
